Here's the poem students gave me to read for Polish night. It's one of the easiest the teachers got. It's essentially a nursery rhyme. Liski are fox. The poem, as best as I could understand, says that four little red foxes ("Cztery mal'e rude liski" -- the l' is pronounced as a "w" --came to drink milk from a plate. The first & second foxes put their paws into the milk. The third & fourth foxes did the same, and spilled the milk...Ctery mal'e rude liski... a simple poem; but there were subtleties of pronunciation that nearly tripped me up...
Ctery mal'e rude liski
Pil'y mleko z jednej miski.
Jeden lisek z drugim liskiem
Powsadzal'y l'apki w miske.
Treci lisek z crwartym liskiem
Weszl'y w miske z wielkim piskiem.
I wylal'y mleko z miksi
Cztery mal'e rude liski.

That's a bit challenging.
